Sub $5 stock setups for January 3, 2012

1.  Low priced stocks inherently carry more risk, so always use tight stops to limit your losses.

2.  When operating in lower priced stocks, proper entry is very important because the percentage moves can be so big.  If you miss the proper trigger point, DO NOT CHASE these stocks.  Another stock will always come along and offer an opportunity.

3.  Take partial profits along the way if and when these stocks move in your direction.  In the current market environment, taking 5-7% gains on a portion of your position as they develop is prudent portfolio management.

4.  I'm looking at these as very short term trading plays, nothing more.

5.  Many of these stocks you've probably never heard of before.  There's a reason for that.  Many of them are ugly stocks in long term downtrends.  If you choose to trade these stocks, you'll likely lose all your money.  Consider yourself warned.

These are not listed in any particular order.
